This exclusive week of wine tasting that will feature Master Sommelier Brian Cronin and showcase select wines of Hanzell Vineyards of Sonoma Valley and Swanson Vineyards of Napa Valley. Taste buds will be further indulged with the inspired cuisine of Executive Chef Mark Tsuchiyama who will host culinary demonstrations. After their flight to Kona International Airport, arriving guests will enjoy fresh flower lei and Mai Tai greeting at check in at the resort and a welcome cocktail reception with pupu's (hors d’oeuvres) and tropical libations.

The week includes informal "Talk Story" with Master Sommelier Brian Cronin and a magnificent group dinner with wines.

Each day, following oceanside breakfast, guests can enjoy all the complimentary amenities and activities of Kona Village Resort, such as the beautiful sand beach, water sports, tennis, strolls throughout the 82- acre tropical oasis and savor an array of vertical tastings of champagne, chardonnay, cabernets and more in the late afternoons and evenings.

The five night package is $1,445 per person, based on double occupancy in a private thatched roof bungalow (called a hale) and includes oceanside breakfast each day for two, a Welcome Cocktail Reception & Pupu Dinner, a Private Group Dinner with wines and Five Vertical Wine Tastings with pupus.

As a Special Value: For less than the rate for Standard category bungalow, participants will receive a 2-category upgrade to Deluxe Category.

Day one (Saturday 9/15):

Day three (Monday 9/17):
  • Breakfast and then enjoy any one of Kona Village’s many included activities at leisure
  • Afternoon culinary demonstration with Kona Village Executive Chef Mark Tsuchiyama
  • Vertical Wine Tasting, Hanzell Vineyard’s Chardonnay
  • Dinner at your leisure and optional at special rates for “Taste” participants at Hale Samoa or Hale Moana dining rooms.
Day four (Tuesday 9/18):
  • Breakfast and then enjoy any one of Kona Village’s many included activities at leisure
  • Complimentary Hawaiian Outrigger canoe racing with Kona Village Ocean Adventures staff
  • Afternoon Vertical Tasting, Hanzell Vineyard’s Pinot Noir
  • Optional: Guests may join the Paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) Dinner and Show which highlights the legacy of more than 160 years of ranching on the island
  • Star Gazing with world-renowned astronomer, Jon Lomberg
Day five (Wednesday 9/19):
  • Breakfast and then enjoy any one of Kona Village’s many included activities at leisure
  • Afternoon Vertical Wine Tasting, Swanson Vineyard’s Cabernet Sauvingon.
  • Optional: Guests may experience the Award-winning ‘Aha‘aina (lu‘āu dinner and show), “Hula Mana.” A perfect ending to the evening.
Day six (Thursday 9/20):
  • Breakfast and then enjoy any one of Kona Village’s many included activities at leisure
  • Departures - or extend your stay and enjoy more of the Village
