Complimentary Activities  Under the Village  In the Bay  On the Beach
Within Kona Village Resort’s 82-acres, guests can play on the picture perfect crescent-shaped sandy shore of Kahuwai Bay. In the pristine waters of the sheltered Bay, snorkeling and ocean sports are unrivaled. On the northern coastline of the resort, a dramatic black sand beach formed from the lava flow of 1801, is an option for many beach goers and a truly unique experience.
Under the Village:
The underwater magic within the marine sanctuary of Kahuwai Bay is available through a limited-release DVD titled "Under the Village." Footage was captured from more than 60 hours of underwater video and filmed exclusively on location.
Whether an experienced diver who has seen the sights beneath vast oceans or a snorkeler who has seen a different perspective or one who has yet to venture beyond the beach, scenes in “Under the Village” are spellbinding. The narrated video is excellent for guests, educators, or anyone interested in marine life. Click here to view the video!
You'll need Flash Player 8 or better to view Under the Village.
